Château d’Art is the personal home and creative canvas of an American artist who spent years filling its rooms with original artwork, hand-painted murals, rich color, and unexpected details. Then life took her in an entirely new direction: she fell in love with France (and a Frenchman) and decided to make France her new home.
She couldn't bear to part with the St. Louis home she'd poured so much of herself into, so instead, she's sharing it with you.

This isn't a vacation rental designed to look interesting. It's the real home of an artist, and her work surrounds you in every room.
Throughout the home you'll discover the owner's original paintings, portraits, landscapes, collected pieces, hand-painted walls and murals.

Upstairs, you'll find a second, smaller kitchen and breakfast area, a surprisingly convenient bonus when several adults are traveling together.
Whether you're cooking dinner or bringing home takeout from one of the neighborhood restaurants, there's plenty of room to settle in and stay awhile.

📌 Other Things to Note
Stairs & Lofts: Château d’Art is a historic multi-level home. The movie loft is accessed by stairs, while the office loft is reached via a spiral staircase. The home is not wheelchair accessible.
Children: Because of the home's open loft areas, spiral staircase, original artwork and décor, Château d’Art is best suited for adults and older children. The home is not child-proofed and does not provide baby gear such as a crib, Pack 'n Play or high chair.
Bedroom 3: Please note that the room containing the two queen beds does not have a traditional door. A privacy curtain closes off the sleeping area and provides visual privacy.

For our standard cancellation policy, guest receives 100% refund if cancelled within 48 hours of booking. Guest also receives a 100% refund (less 4% credit card fee incurred) if cancellation occurs more than 14 days before arrival. Guest receives 50% refund (less 4% credit card fee incurred) if cancellation occurs more than 7 days before arrival. No refunds within 7 days of arrival.
Guest has the option to purchase trip insurance to help if you need to cancel outside of the cancellation window.

Yes! We allow up to 2 dogs and have dog bowls, a pet cot, and towels to use for your dogs on site. We also have a dog poo station with bags to contain their waste. Please list number of pets on your reservation request so our cleaners know what to expect.
